"Softscape Series #1". This is an original oil on custom stretched canvas. This painting measures 22 x 20 x 1.25. This is the first in a series of soft pastel landscapes done in a heavy impasto/palette knife technique to give the impression of distant muted soft landscapes. It is in an impressionistic style with flowers in the foreground and trees in the background.

This is an original oil on a stretched cotton canvas wrap that measures 8 x 16 x 2. This can be hung as is or put in a traditional frame or floater frame. The painting is done in heavy impasto and palette knife techniques which gives it a layered look. The sides are painted in the deep burgundy color to match the front of the painting.
Purple daylilies that stretch to the sun are regal and last such a long time in the garden. These daylilies are enjoying a beautiful sunny day. One competing against the other for space in the crowded garden. Soon the butterflies and hummingbirds will visit to collect the pollen of the day.
***NOTE: This painting will not be dry and ready for shipping until 4/21
