Contemporary Abstract Oil Painting
There are many shapes, colors and images in this contemporary abstract. The viewer's eye doesn't rest while looking at this painting....My inspiration for this painting was a dragonfly that John Wyne found in our yard...I guess you could say that I have started collecting dragonflies since I have a total of four. They are very interesting creatures. The picture below is a close-up of the dragonfly.

Golden Dragonfly

This contemporary abstract is finally finished. I had started it about six months ago and it was one of those paintings that I did not feel like it was complete. I kept adding lines, shapes and color. The wings of the dragonfly disappeared into hard edges and angles. Dragonfly Dreaming II - SOLD!

This painting sold yesterday, and I am varnishing today and getting ready to ship to the east coast. We have had some interesting conversations about this painting at the studio....there are fish floating around on this canvas, and several other images that appear when the imagination allows you.
