This acrylic painting is done on 14x12 watercolor paper. I painted it about three weeks ago when the daffodils were just starting to bloom. It was an experimental painting and I put it aside. I stumbled upon it today and decided to post it. I am working on two other pieces that are just not working for me. Sometimes you just cannot transfer the ideas to canvas! Grrr#@!! This painting is done on 14x11 textured stretched canvas. Many layers of acrylic, textures, glazes and metalics. I loved the underpainting on this one. It was a beautiful manderine orage color with a salt technique, but I could just not make it work as a whole painting. I ended up having to paint over it, but was able to salvage some by scraping around the silk cloth. Sides painted black. UV Matte finish to "de-glare" the metalics. My version of some white daffs I pass by on my morning walks. View Auction Here, or visit my BLOG: Donna Holdsworth Contemporary Art. Thank you!
