Cross My Heart
60" x 20" Oil on Linen Gallery Wrap
This size canvas is really cool. It is very vertical, and if you have the right wall space, this canvas might work for you. The paints were applied with a palette knife, so there is alot of texture on the linen. I have purposely left the natural linen peaking through, giving the eye a rest. Stand Tall
I received word yesterday that Heather at Adiebe Khadoure Fine Art has sold this painting to a collector from Manhattan. Thank you, Heather. That made my day! I was able to finish up two paintings yesterday. Time to let them rest and dry. Thanks for looking at this blog. Have an artful day.

Here is another contemporary aspen painting. As I was posting it, I realized that it is appropriate to dedicate it to my husband, John. Today is John's birthday, and I wish him a Happy Birthday! Our children got busy in the Henry's kitchen last night and made three homemade pizzas for his birthday dinner....Wes was throwing the dough, Blake was chopping the veggies and meat, and Lindsay was putting it all together. Just For You

This little colorful palette knife painting comes with a black iron easel....a small accent piece to jazz up a small space needing a punch of color. I sold one of these little gems last week, and shipped it off to North Carolina......thanks Shelly! A Day Just For You

Celebrate Today

This original oil on cotton panel traveled to Chicago, Illinois yesterday.
Blake delivered it last night to Jim and Reggie.
It is dedicated to Jim Devers and is a colorful reminder to celebrate today.......especially with with a clean bill of health!!!! I had meant to send Jim a card or phone him, but failed to do that, so a small painting will have to do. This little 6" x 6" painting is on a iron easel.

This abstract aspen painting is the first of a series of smaller paintings. It was a challenge for me because I love using large brushes and big palette knives when I paint. Twisted
24" x 20" Oil on Linen Gallery Wrap
Palette Knife Painting
Image looking up in the sky with the wind whipping around, trees blowing and a storm coming in. That is what I imagined when I painted this contemporary abstract. I blended the colors in the background, using wide brushes. The leaves and trees were laid in with thick layers so that there is texture on the linen.
